About the event
Is it possible to transform society through our everyday choices?
Global trends, corporations, and governments all shape the world we live in to be sure. But they’re not the only ones that can affect change. So many of the biggest movements in history started small, not by global leaders but by everyday people who saw the need for something different. We often see the end result as a monumental shift, but looking back, we can see that lasting progress has most often been made one small change at a time. Yet looking at the world around us today, it’s still easy to feel overwhelmed at the enormity of problems we seem to be facing. But are we letting the enormity of the idea of trying to fix everything keep us from focusing on the things we can influence? Is it possible that our choices have a reach and impact further than we might see or even imagine? Instead of expecting needed change to come from an outside source, can we ourselves, little by little, actually start to grow the world we want to live in? How can we start to affect real change in our own circles, in our own worlds? And can we grow those circles to include more of the world around us? How can we bring others along with us in the process of building better communities and magnify our impact beyond our individual reach?
Come join a different kind of conversation – one that welcomes every perspective in a search for the truths that unite us all – as we discuss the spiritual perspectives offered by the Bahá’í Teachings on the spiritual power of our individual and collective thoughts and actions in growing the world we want. Join us for a lively discussion as we explore how we can work together for the betterment of us all.
