About the event
One fundamental way to enter the world of fiction is through the question: ”What if?” But with climate change, the question has become, “When?” And that’s terrifying. So terrifying, it can be hard to process let alone look for solutions. Unfortunately, the implications and scale of climate change can lead to climate immobility for many people. Stories can help. In this workshop you’ll be sparked to write your own flash fiction story based on realistic future climate scenarios. Returning to the “What if?” we can engage with climate change through curiosity and narrative. This will allow us to process the realities of the world today, deal with the emotional intensity of what we fear, and start thinking expansively about the future.
